I moved both of my parents into Willow Dale Wellness Village several years ago when it became clear that my mom needed more support than we could safely provide at home, and the doctor felt it was time for more consistent care. It wasn’t an easy decision, but looking back now, I know it was the right one.Since then, the team at Willow Dale has done a wonderful job caring for my mom. She’s grown to truly consider it her home. The staff has always kept me informed and involved, calling about everything from medication approvals to therapy updates. After a recent hospital stay where she battled pneumonia and lost weight, they gently encouraged her back into activities like bingo and crafts, and I could see her spirit lift again. Now, she’s back to walking the halls, creating art, and engaging with her community. The staff, from therapists to nurses, have treated her with kindness and respect, and even small gestures, such as having her hair done each week, have made a significant difference in her happiness. I visit her weekly, and every time I do, I’m reassured she’s in good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Willow Dale to any family going through a similar journey.
