Administrator
With over two decades of experience in long-term care, Todd brings a deep sense of purpose and teamwork to his role as Administrator. His career began in maintenance at Willow Dale, but it quickly became evident that his leadership potential extended far beyond a single department. Driven by a passion for service, Todd worked full-time across departments—including housekeeping, laundry, HR, and person-directed care coordination—while simultaneously earning his bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration.
This hands-on experience gave him a unique, facility-wide perspective. Rather than seeing operations through the lens of a single role, Todd learned how each department integrates to function as a unified team. His leadership style emphasizes relationships, collaboration, and trust—principles that carry through in his commitment to residents, families, staff, and the broader community.
After serving as Administrator at two other facilities, Todd returned to Willow Dale, a place he considers home. For him, long-term care is far more than a job—it’s a calling rooted in faith, compassion, and the belief that excellence in care starts with empathy and shared purpose.
Director of Nursing
Julie’s career in healthcare began with a volunteer vest and a big heart. As a young candy striper at her local nursing home, she discovered her calling early. That passion led her to the University of Iowa, where she earned her BSN. While Julie held full-time positions in hospital settings, her heart never strayed far from long-term care—she consistently maintained part-time roles in nursing homes, the environment she considers her true professional home.
Today, as Director of Nursing, Julie brings not only decades of clinical experience but also a specialized certification as a wound care nurse. Whether mentoring nursing staff, coordinating care, or supporting families, Julie leads with the conviction that every resident deserves to be treated with the same care and affection as a loved one. Her approach to leadership is grounded in compassion and connection: “Our residents are our family,” she often says, a guiding principle that informs her every decision and interaction.
